60 Stories for 60 Years – #45

I joined Cornerstone many years ago when I began working for the school system.  In the early years my husband and I had one account at the credit union and one account at a bank in Franklin.  When my husband died, the bank was of no help to me at all.  They just didn’t have the customer service to help me figure out all of the ins and outs of dealing with the financial challenges that go with losing a spouse.  I closed the bank account and turned everything over to Cornerstone.  At Cornerstone they helped me through that difficult time and continue to help me today.  I have always felt like I was being served by friends who really care about me.  They know my name, they ask about my family, and when I have a problem (like figuring a mistake in bill pay) they calmly lead me through it!  This is important to me because my father was a banker in a small town and I grew up watching how he treated his customers with respect and kindness….a very rare commodity in today’s busy world!  I have definitely found that at Cornerstone.   Mary, Bert, and so many others have taken a real interest in me and I know that I can go to them with any credit union issues that I have.  They have even helped me set up accounts for my three granddaughters, who are now learning to be good Cornerstone customers!  Thanks to the entire Cornerstone team!
