Scholarships, Work, Budget

Cecil LukeWhile day-to-day frugality and personal economic planning is essential to a secure financial future for all, it is my firm belief that student loan debts are the biggest antagonist to most college graduates in our society today. Often, when students realize the grim reality of just how crippling debt can be, it is far too late. While furthering their education, students can do many things to prevent this tragedy from occurring. First, receiving scholarship money is simple with even the slightest effort. If one can dedicate themselves to searching and applying for scholarships on a regular basis, it is sure to pay dividends in the long run. Next, working part-time while in school is a great way to stay focused on the task at hand of minimizing debts and securing a healthy financial future post graduation. Furthermore, it should be understood that creating and maintaining a budget on a regular basis is vital to one’s economic health.
