Budget in college helps plan for future

I believe if I start my college career out with a budget I will be set for success. Not only will the budget help me manage my money throughout college, it will help me plan for my future as well. Growing up my parents always worked off of a budget. They taught me how to plan and use my money wisely, as well as how to put some away for emergencies. While having to sit down and write out a budget every month may seem like more work than needed, it genuinely is the key to financial stability. Knowing how to create and follow a budget is a fantastic skill to have-and not only for college, for your adult life as well. Life is very unpredictable, and you never know what is going to happen. That is why everybody should have a financial plan where they do not live check-to-check. If there is one thing that I were to take away from my parents before going off to college on my own it would be their money management skills. I am truly blessed having such great abilities instilled in me to make my life financially successful, no matter where I am at.
