Minimize student loans

When you are in college it is easy to get into debt by taking out loans. My goal and what I see as the most important thing I can do in college is not to take out student loans and go into debt. When I was looking into colleges, my main problem was not having the funds to go or coming just a little short of the amount I needed. I would really like to go to the University of Tennessee at Martin but it isn’t really an option if I don’t have the funds to go because my family and I don’t feel like I should take out student loans and have to be in debt until I can pay them off. I also want to avoid credit cards.  I have seen how hard credit cards are to pay off and I don’t want to put myself in that situation. I want to be a responsible adult and be able to pay for my own self.  Debt is not what I want.
